Best buddy Ryô Asuka has been watching after the frail youngster Akira Fudô ever since they were kids. He falls in love with Miki Makimura when his mother and father die in an accident, and the Makimura family takes him into their home and raise him as their own. Humans and demons merge to live when Ryô's father accidently blog post creates a portal to hell in Antarctica. To become a devilman, Akira hosts Aman and retains his humanity, while Ryô hosts Satan. Mankind goes to fight against the demons, but it also destroys itself in the process.
